Avatar Frames

Avatar frames are decorative borders that appear around your profile picture throughout the app — on your profile, on the leaderboard, in @mentions, in the member picker, and anywhere your avatar is displayed. Frames are unlockable rewards tied to your XP and level progression.

How frames unlock

Most frames unlock automatically when you reach a specific XP level. When you level up and a new frame becomes available, a reveal overlay shows you what you have unlocked. It is added to your collection immediately — no manual claiming.

Some frames are tied to specific achievements (completing the monthly quest, earning certain badges, or reaching milestone streak counts). These unlock when the triggering condition is met.

Frame unlock conditions are shown on each frame in the collection view on your profile. Locked frames appear as silhouettes with the unlock condition displayed beneath them.

Setting your active frame

Go to your profile
Click your avatar in the top navigation bar, then select Profile from the dropdown.

Open the Avatar Frames section
Scroll to the Avatar Frames section. All unlocked frames are shown as a grid. Locked frames appear as silhouettes.

Click a frame to preview
Click any unlocked frame to see a preview of how it will look on your avatar.

Set as active
Click "Set as active". Your avatar updates immediately across the entire app.

Frame rarity tiers

⚪ Common

Unlocked at early levels. Straightforward designs.

🔵 Rare

Unlocked at mid-range levels or specific streak milestones.

🟣 Epic

Unlocked at high levels or for significant achievements.

⭐ Legendary

Tied to exclusive events or very high level thresholds. Very few players hold these.

💡 Tip

Your active frame is visible to all users in the workspace — on leaderboards, in comments, in the member picker, and in the project members tab. Pick a frame that represents your current milestone or shows off a recent achievement.

ℹ️ Note

There is no limit to how many frames you can unlock — your full collection is always available. You can switch your active frame as often as you like.
