Notifications

Taskvault notifies you in real time when something relevant to you happens — a task is assigned, a comment mentions you, a watched todo is completed, or a project event is due today.

At a glance

  • âś“A toast also appears in the corner of the screen for new notifications while you are active
  • âś“Click any notification to open the related item and mark it as read

The notification bell

The bell icon in the sidebar shows your unread notification count. Click it to open the notification panel. Notifications appear in reverse chronological order with a preview of the relevant item.

Notification types

Todo assigned

Someone assigned a todo to you.

Todo due today / overdue

A todo assigned to you is due today or is past its due date.

Todo completed

A todo you are watching has been marked done.

@mention

Someone mentioned you in a comment, message board post, or todo description.

@all mention

Someone used @all in a project you are a member of.

Comment reply

Someone replied to a thread you participated in.

Project event

A calendar event in your project is starting soon.

Marking as read

Click any notification to open the related item and mark it as read. Use the Mark all read button at the top of the panel to clear all unread notifications at once.

Email notifications

Taskvault sends transactional emails for billing events — payment confirmation, payment failed, and subscription renewal reminders. In-app activity notifications are delivered via the bell panel only and do not trigger email.

ℹ️ Note

Notifications are delivered in real time via Supabase Realtime. A toast also appears briefly in the corner when a new notification arrives while you are active in the app.
