Projects Overview
A project is the primary workspace in Taskvault. Everything — todos, milestones, events, messages, and member activity — lives inside a project.
At a glance
- ✓Create as many projects as you need — each has its own members, todos, and milestones
- ✓Each project has a health score computed from completion rate and activity
- ✓Seven views inside every project: Todos, Milestones, Timeline, Calendar, Activity, Board, Members
- ✓Archive projects to hide them without losing any data
Creating a project
- 1
Click the + icon
Click the + icon next to "Projects" in the sidebar, or use the FAB on mobile.
- 2
Fill in the details
Set a name (required). Optionally add a description, a cover colour, and a project type if your admin has configured tiers.
- 3
Create
Click Create. You land on the new project immediately. Start adding todos or invite your team from the Members tab.
Project views
Inside every project you have seven views accessible from the project navigation bar:
Todos
The default list view with status filters, drag-and-drop, bulk actions, and tag filtering.
Milestones
Milestone cards with progress bars, todo counts, and target dates. Supports archive and duplicate.
Timeline
Gantt-style view of milestones and project events plotted on a horizontal date axis.
Calendar
Monthly calendar grid showing all project events with colour-coded event types.
Activity
Full audit trail of every action taken in the project — filterable by event type and member.
Board (Message Board)
Project-wide announcement feed for standups, decisions, and @mentions.
Members
Add or remove members, change roles, and see who is currently active in the project.
Project health score
Each project card shows a health score computed from completion rate, number of overdue todos, and recent activity. It updates automatically as work moves through statuses. A lower score indicates stale or overdue work — use it to spot projects that need attention.
Archiving a project
Open project settings and click Archive. Archived projects are hidden from the active sidebar but accessible under the "Archived" filter. Archiving does not delete any data.
